The tenant and his Contractor will be held liable if there is any breach in the terms of this work permit.

The authorised tenant and/or contractor are responsible for taking all necessary actions to protect their workers from the work environment risks, and meet all the legal requirements in the field of occupational safety and health as per Bahrain Ministry of Labour, Health & Safety regulations.

  1. Provide the workers with safety equipment that is well maintained and will not create a threat to the safety and health of employees, workers and Mall visitors.
  2. Briefing the workers with the risks associated with their profession, so that the necessary safety precautions are adhered to.
  3. Provide the necessary training for all employees with respect to all work that must be carried out.
  4. Wear appropriate clothing and use personal protective equipment including safety shoes in order not to create any additional Hazards.
  5. Provide the employees with a uniform, which must be worn when working on site.
  6. Pay attention to personal hygiene, cleanliness of the site, equipment and public facilities.
  7. Cooperation with Mall Management officials in the implementation of the requirements for occupational health and safety systems.
  8. After eating food in the designated areas, the place must be cleaned.
  9. The tenant and his contractor agree to indemnify Seef Properties for all loss or damage to goods or property belonging to or held in trust by Seef Properties arising out of or by reason of negligence or willful default of the tenant & his contractor, it’s servants and personnel (acting within the course of their employment) in the performance of the said services up to a limit of BD 500,000. (Bahraini Dinars Five Hundred Thousand only).
  10. The tenant and his Contractor shall (as between the parties hereto) accept liability for and shall indemnify the Seef Properties against any liability claim proceedings expense or loss in respect of personal injury to or the death of any person whatsoever or in respect of damage to any property where such injury death or damage as the case may be caused directly by and in the course of the tenant and his contractor execution of the works at site.
  11. Without prejudice to his liability to indemnify Seef Properties as aforesaid the tenant and his contractor shall at his own expense at all times maintain with approved insurers such insurances as may be necessary to cover the said liability and all other liabilities which the tenant and his contractor may incur in respect of any personal injury or death or damage to property whatsoever caused by or arising out of and in the course of the execution of the Works and shall produce the relevant policies of such insurance to the Seef Properties upon demand.
  12. Smoking inside the Mall is not permitted.
